Appointments

You can contact the reception after 9.00 to make an appointment. When booking an appointment please try to see your usual doctor, or if it is a follow up about a previous problem then try to see the doctor who discussed this problem with you before.

You will be offered an appointment within 2 working days.  If appropriate, you may be offered a pre-booked telephone consultation with your usual doctor.  If you have an urgent problem you will be seen on the day, but please ring for an appointment time.  

You will still be able to pre-book an appointment up to two months in advance with your usual doctor.  The practice nurses provide a wide range of services, reception staff will advise you whether your appointment should be with the doctor or the nurse.  Please book one appointment for each person that needs to be seen.  Please cancel your appointment if it is no longer needed.

If you arrive late for an appointment you may not be seen. 

Home Visits

 Where possible, please request a visit before 11:00am. We try to reserve home visits for serious acute emergencies, the elderly and housebound.

Telephone Consultations

If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse about results, an administrative matter or a clinical matter that does not need a face to face consultation, then you might be able to use a telephone consultation.
 
The doctors and nurses provide a telephone consultation service after morning surgery and before and after evening surgery.  Please ask reception to book a telephone consultation with your usual doctor or nurse.

Test Results

Please contact reception after 10am  to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
