Updates following previous meeting
Disabled access doors and electrics work
The disabled access door will be fitted withing the next couple of months, the company has been given the go ahead to start the work, this will coincide with some electrical works to be done in the ground floor hallway.
NHS App how to guides – Dylan would like PPG to assess.
There is some patient training available for patients on the NHS app. Details will be sent to the PPG mailing list and will also be advertised on the SGS website.
Green Toolkit
This has been worked on previously at SGS, however the toolkit has been updated and we have to start again completing it, the work we have done on it so far includes moving to a renewable energy supplier, and reviewing prescribing to reduce carbon footprint and waste.
Suggestions for PPG funding for Year 24-25
Improvements to the energy efficiency and ventilation of the waiting room/reception area would be beneficial. The radiators are old, expensive and inefficient. We could also look into ventilation for the windows which allows air exchange without opening the windows.
Clinician to discuss aspect of care
Jennifer Tumbridge – Practice Nurse to talk about her work on Women’s health and related projects. Including women’s health clinics, a borough wide LARC and Coil contraception service that can be accessed at SGS.
PCN Update
Dr Emma West discusses potential services that could be provided, there is some interest in Citizen’s Advice Bureau providing services locally, this is something the PCN could explore. Emma also discusses the Neighborhood projects which bring in other non-medical local support services and attempt to communicate and facilitate their availability locally.
More information can be found here.
